There is a darkness in my soul.

It tries to consume me.

Dark thoughts are overwhelming.

Amplified by your words.

Telling me that I am this bad, dark, being.

In order to strike a balance with the light, one must realize the darkness is there but be able to differentiate themselves from the darkness.

I may have a darkness in my soul.

But I am not of the darkness.

In order to balance it, we must not let it engulf us.

We need to be strong enough to hold it, love it, and release it.

Just as the sword’s ability to momentarily become one with blood and bone, it is not blood and bone, but still a sword.

You are not the sword. You are not the darkness.

But you have the ability to transform it.

To heal from it.

And to love again.

Love after darkness exists.

But first, you must find balance.
